Prove company experience and competence through industry developed programs. These can be used in specifications, standards, and code requirements.
Contractor Programs
NFCA's SFRM and IFRM Contractor Accreditation Programs prove contractor knowledge. UL Solutions' Qualified SFRM Contractor Program proves knowledge and has a mandatory office and on-site management system audit to verify that policies and procedures are working at the company.

Inspection Agency Competence Accreditation Programs
The International Building Code requires the inspection agency entity (C-Corporation, LLC, S-Corporation, LLP, etc.) to have experience and competent inspectors. International Accreditation Services (IAS) Accreditation Criteria (AC) 291 (IAS-AC 291) provides a quantifyable way to prove inspection agency competence.
Inspector competence is established through passing an exam, and showing experience in the same type and complexity of materials and listings to be inspected.
ICC Certified Special Inspector Program - This program is administered by ICC.
NFCA's Education and Exam Program can be submitted for AHJ approval by Fireproofing Special Inspectors.
