NFCA’s Fireproofing Education for the NFCA SFRM and IFRM Fireproofing Exams is the first step to DRI Status in the NFCA Contractor Accreditation Program and UL Qualified SFRM Contractor Program. The education covers details of listed system selection and analysis, guide information at UL’s Product iQ, code compliance, beam substitution procedures, thickness adjustment procedures, surface preparation/priming requirements, inspection, NFCA Standards, and ASTM standards relevant to the industry and the International Building Code requirements for fireproofing.
The NFCA Fireproofing Education for IFRM and SFRM, and examinations are offered at least once a year, live and in person. NFCA Fireproofing Education and Examinations for SFRM and IFRM are based on the NFCA Handbook of Accepted Fireproofing Knowledge and the UL Qualified SFRM Contractor Program Requirements.
